Integration of Supercritical CO2 Recompression Brayton Cycle with Organic Rankine/Flash and Kalina Cycles: Thermoeconomic Comparison

The use of the organic Rankine cycle (ORC), flash (OFC) and Kalina (KC) is proposed to enhance electricity generated by a supercritical CO2 recompression Brayton (SCRB) cycle. Novel comparisons SCRB/ORC, SCRB/OFC SCRB/KC integrated plants from thermodynamic, exergoeconomic sustainability perspectives are performed choose most appropriate bottoming for waste heat recovery SCRB For comprehensiveness, performance SCRB/ORC layouts examined using ten working fluids. influence design parameters such as pressure ratio in (S-CO2) cycle, pinch point temperature difference heater pre-cooler 1, turbine inlet ORC/OFC/Kalina cycles main system indicators including net output power, energy exergy efficiencies, unit cost power production. order efficiencies systems highest lowest is: SCRB/KC. minimum production lower than that systems, 1.97% 0.75%, respectively.
